An exciting opportunity has arisen within Delia’s Canary Catering at Norwich City Football Club in the role of Sales Coordinator.

This is an excellent role for someone who is sales driven and innovative.

With the key responsibility being to assist in selling, coordinating and delivering profitable conferences, meetings, and events, in line with the Delia brand standard.

Hours of work will be 40 per week, this involves some evenings, weekends and matchdays in accordance with work and event demands.

Key tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Answer incoming telephone, web, and email enquiries in a timely manner and to Delia’s Canary Catering standards for all Conference, Meetings and Events.

  • Prepare and send proposals to clients in an efficient and prompt manner, upselling products at every opportunity. Ensuring proposals are profitable and within the best interest of the business, whilst meeting and exceeding customer expectations.

  • Act as host at key flagship events; immaculately presented, providing a professional and genuine welcome to all customers.

  • You will be the point of contact for the customer journey, from the initial enquiry and site visit, through to delivery of a successful event. Including the preparation and issuing of accurate contracts to ensure prompt payment of invoices.  

  • Optimise repeat bookings by building strong relationships with clients. Exceeding customer expectations at every opportunity.

  • Liaise with other departments to ensure all event information and function sheets are accurate and delivered within the required timeframes.

  • Work closely with the Catering Front of House team to ensure that the client’s event is delivered exactly as it has been sold.

  • Data input: including accurate and precise production of function sheets, purchase orders and client records.

To succeed in this role you must have excellent planning and organisational skills and the drive to innovate and increase sales. A strong customer service and quality ethic, backed up by excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
