As an Innovation Manager, you will be part of an ambitious team that works with the business units to implement innovative projects to create competitive advantage and develop a leading innovation position that strengthens brand and club growth.
Your tasks
You will be co-responsible for implementing innovation topics in relevant areas of the club in line with the Bayer 04 innovation agenda.
You will create your own innovation projects - from the conception of an idea and the development of a proof of concept to its implementation in the business.
You will manage cross-departmental innovation projects with different departments, including stakeholder and agency management.
You will develop strategies to generate revenue from digital products and services, agree pricing strategies and implement the strategies across the business.
You will build an innovation network with external partners and stakeholders.
You will identify and monitor trends and analyze relevant innovation topics for their added value for Bayer 04.
You will work closely with other departments such as Sales, Marketing and Product Development to ensure that digital products and services are in line with the innovation agenda and the overall strategy of the company.
You have several years of professional experience as an innovation manager in or related to sports and have a keen sense of innovation issues.
You have extensive working experience with trend topics such as generative artificial intelligence, Web3, metaverse, gaming or digital fan experience.
You have a strong understanding of digital marketing and monetization, ideally with experience of the international sports business and how it works (distribution rights, business models).
You enjoy solving problems creatively and thinking outside the box.
You have basic programming skills to independently develop rapid prototypes, realistically estimate effort, and describe technical requirements.
You have strong written and oral communication skills in English and German.
You have a passion for sport, preferably football.
